If I am restricted to bed can I still practice chikung in any way?

There is no problem in practicing chikung in bed if you are restricted for some reason or by some disease. Chikung requires you to combine your breathing and stretching with mind control. At any time these can easily be done from a bed by a bedridden person himself or with limited help from another person. In fact, we can practice chikung to enhance our health before we are ready to begin a standard course of rehabilitation. For example, after having shoulder or knee surgery, one often experiences deterioration in muscle flexibility, especially when the joint has been immobilized by a cast or a restrictive bandage. Before one is well enough to begin to start traditional rehabilitation, he can begin doing chikung exercises.
