Does drinking alcohol interfere with making gains in chikung?

Sure. When we drink alcohol, we will lose chi instead of gain chi. Usually, when one drinks alcohol, it effects their liver and heart so their circulatory system and metabolism to go terribly fast, resulting in a big headache. This means that all the forces have gathered around in our head instead of in our lower dantien. In this way, we generate a lot of heat after drinking alcohol causing us to lose chi with the loss of our body heat. Therefore, it isn't‘t a good idea to drink alcohol after practicing chikung.

For those who can tolerate drinking a lot of alcohol, the practice of chikung will strengthen their liver and circulation systems. In this way, they will use their chi while drinking alcohol, meaning they will be less likely to get drunk, and thus incur less damage to their body after drinking alcohol. However, it is better to drink less alcohol, especially after practicing chikung: although we are able to use our chi to drink a little more alcohol, it is still a waste of our chi energy in a situation that is not worthy of it.
